Key Takeaways

Five things to know about how AI Search Rankings engineers AI

  • We build and run real AI systems. 21 are in production, and anyone can open the public ones today.
  • We measure what AI engines really say. We ask ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Google AI Mode the questions buyers ask, and we store every answer.
  • Code decides the result, not the model. A model never reports whether a business was named. Code reads the stored answer.
  • A person approves what reaches a client. A model cannot write a legal clause, set a price, or publish on its own.
  • We publish our limits. We do not guarantee AI rankings, and every figure states what it counts and when it was measured.

Platforms

Which AI platforms does AI Search Rankings build on?

We build on the OpenAI API and the Google Gemini API, and we use each one for the work it does best. We are an active member of the OpenAI Partner Network, and a customer of every platform in this table. Naming a platform does not mean that platform endorses our results.

Platforms and what each one is used for
PlatformProviderWhat we use it for
OpenAI API OpenAI Collecting real ChatGPT answers for tracked buyer questions, and structured decision analysis in which every step must return schema-valid data.
Google Gemini API Google Grounded research with Google Search and Google Maps, structured extraction of business facts, content generation, and narration audio.
Google Places API Google Confirming that a business is real and operating before it is shown as a lead or a competitor.
Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides Google Filing generated client documents as native files in the client project folder.
Stripe Stripe Checkout for packages and add-on services, with each payment settled once.

Which AI engines do we measure, and how?

The same buyer question is asked of every engine, so a business can see where it is named and where it is missing. As of October 15, 2026, we track 562 buyer questions and have captured 10,381 source citations from AI answers.

  • ChatGPTAsked through the OpenAI API. Each result is a sampled response test.
  • Google GeminiAsked directly through the Google Gemini API.
  • Google AI ModeMeasured through Google's own search-grounded model, the closest available view of Google AI answers.

Clients see these results inside AI Visibility Tracking, Buyer Question Tracking, and Competitor Visibility Tracking.

Engineering Standards

How does AI Search Rankings keep AI output accurate?

We hold every AI system to 7 standards. Each one is enforced by the system itself, so it does not depend on anyone remembering to follow it.

As of October 15, 2026, 3,614 AI generations are logged with their tokens, cost, and outcome, and the project holds 223 automated test and gate files.

  1. The model never grades itself

Whether a business was named in an AI answer is decided by code that reads the stored answer. We never ask a model whether the client appeared.

  2. Output must fit a schema and pass validation

A model can return only the shape we define. Code then checks the result against real records before anyone sees it.

  3. A failure is never recorded as a result

A failed AI call is excluded and explained. It is never stored as a miss against a client.

  4. Generated once, stored, and reused

An AI output is saved and read back. Reloading a page never pays for the same answer twice.

  5. Facts come from a governed source

Phone numbers, prices, services, and claims are read from verified records. Output that contradicts them is rejected.

  6. A person approves what reaches a client

AI suggestions enter a review queue. A person accepts or rejects each one before it has any effect.

  7. Every call is accounted for

Each AI call is logged with its model, its tokens, its cost, and its outcome, and public tools stop at a daily cost limit.

Limits on AI

What is a model never allowed to do in our systems?

Responsible use starts with a short list of things AI may not do. These 6 limits are built into the systems, and a person holds the decision in each case.

  • Write or change a legal clauseA contract must say exactly what a person approved.
  • Set or change a priceA price is a commitment, so it is always read from the published catalog.
  • Report its own measurement resultA model that grades itself cannot be trusted.
  • Publish a page or message a client on its ownAnything that carries the company name is approved by a person first.
  • State a guaranteed result, an invented statistic, or an invented reviewThese are false claims, and automated checks remove them.
  • Invent that a business existsExistence is a fact, so it comes from a data source and never from generation.

Governance

Who is accountable for responsible AI, and what happens when something goes wrong?

Jagdeep Singh, the founder, is accountable for how AI is used at AI Search Rankings. When a system detects a problem, it responds on its own and puts the decision in front of a person.

Published policies

  • A client visibility score drops sharplyA high priority conversation is opened for the team.
  • An AI engine rejects our credentialThat engine is removed from the run, and the operator is told what to fix.
  • A run stores no resultIt is recorded as failed and never as complete.
  • Generated text breaks a brand, price, or claim ruleThe text is blocked and listed for a reviewer.
  • A public tool reaches its daily cost limitIt stops accepting new runs for the day.

Microsoft Copilot Verified result

Toolsforhuman.com

AI Search Rankings used schema-first Answer Engine Optimization, layered JSON-LD, robust canonicals, and multilingual hreflang to help Toolsforhuman.com earn 26,300 Microsoft Copilot citations across 160 plus pages, including Spanish-language pages, in a sample window of about three months.

What this does not prove. The result applies to the documented sample window and does not guarantee future citations.

Laser Tagging Inc.

AI Search Rankings rebuilt the Laser Tagging Inc. digital brand and website, expanded its service-area relevance across Newark, Fremont, San Jose, and nearby Bay Area communities, and documented 4,460 client-reported Google generative AI impressions in the selected last-three-month window.

What this does not prove. The report measures Google generative AI impressions. It does not prove a ChatGPT recommendation, a click, a booking, a lead, or revenue.

SacLaserTag

AI Search Rankings rebuilt the SacLaserTag website in Sacramento, California into an answer-led entertainment venue platform with a page for each attraction, audience, and community, and documented 6,340 client-reported Google generative AI impressions across 73 URLs and assets in the selected last-three-month window, up from 1,120 in the previous three months.

What this does not prove. The report measures Google generative AI impressions. It does not prove a citation, a click, a party booking, a lead, or revenue, and the page-row sum of 7,070 differs from the 6,340 property total because Google aggregates the two views differently.

Mr Locksmith Lockout LLC

AI Search Rankings rebuilt the Mr Locksmith Lockout website in Norwich, Connecticut from WordPress onto a structured architecture with a page for every town served, every service quoted, and every vehicle make carried. The client-supplied Google Search Console export taken on October 4, 2026 records 1,233 generative AI impressions across 89 URLs for the preceding three months, up from 138 in the previous three months, with 72 of those URLs recording impressions for the first time.

What this does not prove. The export is a pages view, so no property-level total was supplied and none is published. The figure measures Google generative AI impressions and does not prove a citation, a click, a phone call, a dispatched job, a lead, or revenue.

Questions

Technical capabilities FAQ

Direct answers about how AI Search Rankings builds, governs, and measures its AI systems.

What technical capabilities does AI Search Rankings have?

AI Search Rankings designs, builds, and operates production AI systems. 21 are in production today. 14 run on its own platform, including the Free AI Visibility Audit Tool, 30 public AI diagnostic checks, and AI Visibility Tracking. 7 more are client systems and platforms that run on their own domains. The systems run on the OpenAI API and the Google Gemini API.

Does AI Search Rankings use the OpenAI API?

Yes. AI Search Rankings uses the OpenAI API in production to collect real ChatGPT answers for the questions buyers ask, and for structured decision analysis in which every step must return schema-valid data. 1,592 ChatGPT answers had been collected and stored as of October 15, 2026. AI Search Rankings is an active member of the OpenAI Partner Network at the Registered tier.

Which AI engines does AI Search Rankings measure?

AI Visibility Tracking measures three AI engines: ChatGPT through the OpenAI API, Google Gemini through the Google Gemini API, and Google AI Mode through the search-grounded model from Google, which is the closest available view of Google AI answers. Each ChatGPT result is a sampled response test, so it can differ from what one person sees in a single ChatGPT session.

How does AI Search Rankings stop AI from inventing facts?

Four controls work together. A model can return only the shape a schema allows. Code checks the result against real records before anyone sees it. Business facts such as phone numbers and prices are read from a governed source, and output that contradicts them is rejected. Automated checks remove a guaranteed result, an invented statistic, or an invented review.

Who is responsible for AI governance at AI Search Rankings?

Jagdeep Singh, the founder of AI Search Rankings, is accountable for how AI is used. A model may not write a legal clause, set a price, report its own measurement result, or publish on its own. A person approves anything that reaches a client.

Does AI Search Rankings hold security or AI certifications?

AI Search Rankings does not hold a third-party security or AI compliance certification. The founder holds 9 Google Skills course credentials in generative AI, and each one has a public badge that can be verified at the issuer. He also holds 4 OpenAI Partner Network credentials, OpenAI Technical Practitioner and OpenAI Consultative Solutions Practitioner and ChatGPT Solutions Practitioner and OpenAI Foundational Knowledge, issued on October 18, 2026 and verifiable at the issuer. He also holds a Web Programming certificate from California State University, East Bay. The agency publishes its privacy policy, its accessibility statement, and its measurement method.

How were the figures on this page measured?

Every figure on this page was measured on October 15, 2026 by counting records in the production systems. Each figure states what it counts. A failed AI call is never counted as a result, and a reused report is never counted as a new measurement.

Does AI Search Rankings guarantee AI rankings or citations?

No. AI Search Rankings improves clarity, entity confidence, AI readability, and citation readiness. It does not guarantee AI rankings, AI Overview placement, ChatGPT citations, or third-party recommendations, because those systems are controlled by third parties.
